Today, Saturday, the International Atomic Energy Agency announced the repair of one of the four main power lines at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant of Ukraine.
“With the reconnection of the main line yesterday afternoon, the three backup power lines are being maintained again as replacement lines,” the agency said in a statement.
And the line started again feeding the station with electricity from the Ukrainian grid two weeks after it was down.
The agency, which is affiliated with the United Nations, stated that “the other three external power lines with a voltage of 750 kilovolts, which were stopped earlier during the conflict, are still out of order.”
Russia took control of the Ukrainian station last March. But Ukrainian technicians still operate it.
