Surely you have seen videos on social networks that make deepfakes of the voice of Goku or of Vegeta in Latin Spanish. Most of these videos are simple parodies that are only meant to be entertaining, but the real problem is that even if they are for entertainment purposes, the pages responsible for making these deepfakes do not have the authorization of their respective voice actors.
Rene Garcia, who lends his voice to Vegeta in the anime of dragon ball on Latin America, recently found out about the existence of one of these pages and the actor is not happy at all. He even threatened to take legal action if these sites continue to use deepfakes of his voice.
These gentlemen do not have any authorization from me or from @ccp_mario to make use of our voice, because if they do it according to what I read on their page. They are going to get into a legal problem https://t.co/pBI9Yz5Egj

This type of page makes use of artificial intelligence to create deepfakes with the voices of celebrities. Due to his fame, the voice of Garcia It was one of the most searched for on the site, and this was something that made him zero funny.
Publisher’s note: And it is that not long ago, García was involved in a controversy due to one of these deepfakes, so just as they can be used to entertain, they can also damage a person’s image and this is something that they ultimately cannot allow. .
