The group Renault continues to work to strengthen its leadership in the electric car sector, developing a green supply chain that also includes the production cycle and components. In this regard, Losanga has signed an agreement with Vulcan Energy for the supply of lithium with first deliveries starting from 2026. The partnership, which will have a duration of 5 years, provides for the purchase by Renato of a quantity between 6,000 and 17,000 tons of lithium per year produced in Germany.
The supply will serve to meet the needs of Renault Electricity, the group’s new electric car manufacturing hub in Europe. Vulcan Energy will produce lithium for batteries using renewable energy and geothermal brine.
