The debut of the new Renault is less and less missing Austral, the crossover that will be unveiled in all its details on March 8th. Although there is only a little more than a week to go until the official unveil, the car manufacturer from Losanga has decided to bring a new prototype of its new crossover to the road for a final session of last-minute test: the camouflage due to the camouflage livery is rather heavy, fortunately the teaser images released recently by Renault allow us to already know for a good part how the new Austral will be aesthetically made.
Regarded as the successor to the Kadjar, the new Losanga SUV will stylistically follow in the footsteps of the electric Megane E-Tech. This means that it will have a particularly expressive front, with the front showing strong lines and a wide grille with a horizontal chrome element at the sides of which the light units are positioned. The new “Nouvel R” logo will also stand out, flanked by the C-Shape optical signature in continuity with the current range, although revisited in a modern way thanks to full LED technology. The wide air intakes that give a sporty soul to the new model will complete the overview. The latest prototype tested by Renault also had a hidden exhaust and a rear spoiler. Inside the cockpit, elegance and modernity will be the watchwords, all in one technologically advanced environment thanks also to a set of displays and screens for a total surface area of 24.3 ″.
The main unknowns concern the engine range. According to Carscoops, at launch the new Austral will be offered exclusively with hybrid and petrol solutions, including a 1.3 TCe engine with a 12V mild-hybrid system and a 1.2 TCe unit with 48V hybrid technology. Both of these thrusters should guarantee up to 197 hp of total power, with Renault talking about record performance. The commercial launch of the new Losanga SUV is scheduled for next spring.
