Renault accelerates the transition to industry 4.0 | FormulaPassion.it

New strategic collaboration for Renault, which has entered into an agreement with Atos with the intention of giving life to an industrial data collection solution known as ID @ scale to accompany companies in the industrial sector in the digital transformation and transition to industry 4.0. It is a formula that allows you to collect and structure data from large-scale industrial plants for optimize operational performance and ultimately the quality of the products: it was first developed by the Losanga group and already applied in its factories, and subsequently industrialized, modularized and marketed by the digital leader.

As pointed out by Renault itself, the engineering, digital and information technology teams have developed this unprecedented solution to collect data from their industrial plants: for each type of production process, the data is collected and structured in a standardized way, thus allowing use them for a variety of applications. Today this solution has already been adopted by as many as 22 factories of the Losanga group, with over 7,500 connected plants with standardized data models for around fifty different manufacturing processes. We recall that Renault is already saving 80 million euros per year, and has the ambitious goal of bringing this solution to its 35 plants, or 22,000 plants, by 2023, with a total savings that will amount to 200 million euros per year.
