The series of Harry Potter is one of the most anticipated productions for the future. Although at the moment we do not know exactly when the production will arrive at Max, The head of content for this platform has finally provided a more precise datebut the wait is far from over.
Through a recent interview with Deadline, Casey Bloys, head of content for HBO and Max, revealed that pre-production on the Harry Potter series is already underway, and It is expected to arrive on the streaming platform in late 2026, or even early 2027.. This is what Bloys had to say about it:
“The writers have started. Director Mark Mylod has kicked off the project. The crew is hiring department heads and casting, and we’re ready to go. We haven’t announced any official dates, but I think they were talking about how old they’ll be in March when they start shooting – this doesn’t necessarily mean a start date for filming, but we’re looking at late 2026 or early 2027.”
The writers have just started working, so it is still too early to set a release date.”
At the moment, the scriptwriters are already working on the adaptation, while the search is underway for actors to play Harry and company over the course of a decade. Likewise, sets are being built and everyone involved with the production is doing everything possible to honor the original work.
We can only wait for more information to become available in the future, something that will still take some time to happen. On related topics, you can learn more about the production of the series here. Likewise, Gary Oldman wants to be Dumbledore.
Author’s Note:
The important thing here is commitment. Working on the same show for 10 years is not something everyone can do, and while the cast will probably stay, the hard part will be keeping the group of writers and directors intact.
