Sinaloa.- The parents with children admitted to the Pediatric Hospital of Sinaloa demonstrated today on the esplanade of the State Government Palace, in the city of Culiacán, demanding a solution of drug shortage and payment for prescriptions filled during the shortage period.
According to the parents, they are already more than 20 days those who have requested support to the government authorities, but so far no solution has been given to their requests.
Fernando Rosas President of the civil association Central Campesina Primero commented that during today’s demonstration, the authorities promised to supply 40 percent of medicines in the Sinaloa Pediatric Hospital, a situation that does not solve the conflict that families are experiencing, since the lack of medicines would continue. However, they hope that this commitment will benefit families who are waiting for medicines and supplies.
