Monterrey, Nuevo León.- Relatives of deceased migrants in Pesquería, Nuevo Leónthey asked the authorities of Mexico and Guatemala for help to repatriate the bodies to their place of origin.
The bodies of 14 migrants They were located on Tuesday, February 7, next to a van submerged in a water tank located on the Pesquería-Los Ramones highway, near the Santa María neighborhood, in the municipality of Pesquería, state of Nuevo León.
The state authorities identified five of the 14 bodies by comparing documents, but they are still waiting for the appearance of relatives, who must claim the bodies.
Two of the people carried IDs. Guatemala. They are Karina Lisbeth González Palacios and Leonel Argueta Pelicó.
The others were identified by the names of Germán Estuardo Martínez Chan, Domingo Ixcoy Itzep and Ceder Marcelino Baten Argueta.
Relatives of these last three people, told the local channel Red 25 Totonicapán, that it was through the news and social networks that they found out about the tragedy, for which they asked the authorities to support them to achieve the repatriation of the bodies, to the village of Momostenango in the town of Totonicapán, where they reside.
