The Arab Federation for Electronic Sports chose Reed Hamad Al-Sharani Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Electronic Sports, for membership in the Committee on Women and Women’s Activities in the Arab Federation for Electronic Sports, in a decision issued by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Arab Federation for the game, and stipulated the formation of The Women’s and Women’s Activities Committee in the Federation, headed by Princess Al-Jawhara bint Turki bin Bandar Al Saud, Reed Hamad Al Dhaheri (UAE) First Deputy, Zainab bint Salman Al-Janabi, Second Deputy (Iraq), Umniah Yahya as Secretary-General, and the membership of: Asmaa bint Saeed Al Yahya (Sultanate of Sultanate) Amman), Mulham Najda Al-Houri (Morocco), Rasha Mahmoud Ahmed (Palestine), Nour Nabil Al-Ahmad (Lebanon) and Shaima Mehrez Al-Zouari (Tunisia).
The decision to form the committee came from the union’s keenness on the role of women in the e-sports sector and their belief in the importance of their participation in e-sports forums, and on the role of Arab women in this sport, the extent of empowerment they receive, and the empowerment of women’s talents from the game. Among the competencies of Emirati women and their possession of legal, administrative and technical expertise.
Reed Al Dhaheri said: I extend my thanks to Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of the Federation, for issuing the decision to form the committee, and the membership of the UAE will contribute to the transfer of various experiences that would promote e-sports in the UAE, and the interest in the female component in e-sports. It is one of the goals of the Emirates Electronic Sports Federation, in order to show the talents of Emirati girls in this type of sports. In addition, the formation of the Women’s Committee contributes to activating electronic sports for the female component at the level of the Arab world.
