The general director of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel), Sandoval Feitosa, said this Wednesday, the 18th, that there was an impact of 0.4% on the energy tariff with the revision of the red 2 tariff flag to red 1 – the equivalent of R$900 million. He ruled out the impact for the consumer because any additional charge can be corrected.
“The 2 to 1 variation varies by R$900 million or 0.4% of the tariff, which is close to a margin of error in computational processes. The consumer was not harmed,” Sandoval assured, in conversation with journalists. He participated in an event of the National Front of Energy Consumers (FNCE).
Recently, Aneel revised the tariff flag for September. The level went from red 2, which had been announced days earlier, to red 1, following a “data inconsistency”. The Agency opened an inspection process to investigate the calculation error.
