On the occasion of the Halloween party just passed, modders have created their own unofficial version of a DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2, by title Undead Nightmare 2, which transforms the beloved western title into a nightmare zombie scenario.
The title is a reference to a DLC that was first released Red Dead Redemption, released in 2021 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was called precisely Undead Nightmare. It transformed the first chapter of the signed series Rockstar in a survival horror by adding the undead to the wild west.
Given the success that the package has had, many fans have been hoping for a sequel, with the release of the second chapter, but unfortunately this was not the case. Therefore the same enthusiasts have made a commitment to make one.
It is certainly not the first time that we have seen fans create unique and original content for the titles they love, although these are not officially authorized by the software houses.
In this case, the mod Undead Nightmare 2 was uploaded to the Nexus Mods portal last Monday and transforms Red Dead Redemption 2 inserting zombies that rise up on the loose through cities and forests.
The villagers have barricaded their homes and shoot on sight any undead that stands before their eyes. As you can see from the preview at the top of the article, this is not the only novelty represented by the mod: new sound, musical and atmospheric effects have been added to create the perfect post-apocalyptic aura needed for this genre.
In addition to a DLSS, Take-Two released on Wednesday the updated sales list of Red Dead Redemption 2, selling in 2018 39 million of copies, while the first chapter had reached 23 million in 2010.
