Ciudad Juárez.- The Mexican Red Cross of Youth invited the population to join the Red Cross Children program. The program is open to children between 10 and 12 years old interested in activities that promote art and physical skills, said Ari Centurión, Youth program coordinator.
“Our goal in associating youth from an early age is to foster values, humanitarian service and teamwork, while developing skills in first aid, health education, safety and the development of social skills that can help contribute to change. in our community,” added the coordinator.
The program lasts approximately 10 to 12 months, and training activities will be carried out such as workshops on health, hygiene, accident prevention, nutrition, values and peace education, Centurión mentioned.
This year the program was resumed in September, since in 2020 it was suspended due to the pandemic, he said.
The Youth Red Cross is the largest humanitarian organization in Mexico, in which knowledge and skills are acquired that will be useful for daily and professional life. With this training, you obtain the necessary tools to transmit knowledge to others, lead a group, plan, organize and direct various activities, said the interviewee.
Red Cross Children will be held at the Pronaf Delegation Red Cross facilities, located on Henry Dunant Street, every Sunday from 11:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon.
