Red Bull frames Canada
After the difficulties of Munich Red Bull in Canada is waiting for another confrontation with the need to attack the curbs that characterize the various chicanes of the Montreal circuit.
Max Verstappen he presented the weekend in Montreal like this, also commenting on the renewal of his boxing partner until 2026: “After a difficult weekend in Monaco this week I was with the team in the factory in the simulator to prepare for the Canadian Grand Prix. The track is very particular, it has ‘old school’ curbs and there are many overtaking opportunities. It is even more important to have a good car set-up and find a balance between straight-line speed and good braking stability. It’s always great to be back racing in Montreal, the scenery is one of a kind, the atmosphere in the city is fantastic and the fans are very passionate. It is great news that Checo has signed with the Team until 2026 and I am happy to be able to continue collaborating in a partnership that has brought many successes in recent years. Last year we had a record-breaking season and the team is very strong, so we’re looking forward to continuing that over the next two years.”
These are the words of Sergio Perez: “I’m happy to come to Canada knowing that I will still be a Red Bull driver in the future. I am grateful for the trust everyone has placed in me. I know we have a lot of work to do in the coming seasons but, above all, in the short term. We need to return to the standards we set ourselves before Imola and bring the car into a better window to be able to perform on both Saturday and Sunday. The Monaco race was a disaster, we found ourselves in the wrong position on the grid due to a bad qualifying and we have to solve this problem in Montreal.”
