After a few “rest” races, Red Bull returns to command in the special classification reserved for the best pit stops of the Grand Prix. In fact, at the Istanbul Park, the Milton Keynes team has in fact made Max’s tire change Verstappen in 2.15 seconds, beating Sebastian Vettel by 13 cents, who with his Aston Martin tried an inexplicable hazard with slick tires. Since the technical stopping directive came into effect, Red Bull had been the fastest only in Zandvoort.

The seasonal record is always made by Red Bull, which at the Hungaroring changed the tires at Verstappen in 1.88 seconds. We are still “far” from the 1.82 obtained in Brazil in 2019, but with the new directives it will be almost impossible to achieve those glories (some actions can no longer be done faster than the 0.15 second threshold, while there is a gap of two tenths between the release of the guns and the green light). However, this Red Bull is simply interested in excelling, in pit stops as well as in the World Championship.
