For the fourth consecutive year, CIONETthe global community of digital leaders, and Vocento award the best technological transformation projects (‘Proyectos y Líderes Digitales’) launched in Spain. The event, held at the Vocento headquarters in Madrid (sponsored by KPMG, Moeve and SoftwareOne) recognized the performance of companies and people during the year, with an exceptional jury made up of renowned professionals from the technology community (27 people) , in charge of selecting the finalists and winners of unique projects that have a differential impact.
«In times like these (Iñaki Arechabaleta, deputy CEO of Vocento, pointed out during the presentation), innovation and technology are key to surviving and prospering. And in the case of the media, it allows us to reach any part of the world, at any time, at greater speed and with the best quality. Therefore, these awards are a reference, of which we are proud to be part.
Next, Juan Carlos Fouz, Managing Partner of CIONET Iberoamérica, described a situation “that a few years ago would have seemed like science fiction, in a complex environment, in which leadership implies a vision of the future, and means influencing the rest of the organization”. Fouz highlighted the importance of collaboration (“a superpower”), in addition to highlighting the work of the institution, organizing more than 50 annual meetings, and advocating to approach work in innovation “as digital optimists”, as happens in this ” festival of people and technology, with the presence of the architects of the future defining the course of innovation.
140 projects presented
Belén Ibares, director of knowledge and programs at CIONET, highlighted, in the company of José Andrés López de Fez, president of the jury, how the awards grow each edition, “so much so that we have doubled the initial projects, up to 140 in the case of that year’s edition, a great effort and responsibility for the jury, which has carried out 30 evaluations on average. Innovation, scope and impact have been the evaluation keys for the projects presented in (as Ibares added), “the most prestigious independent awards in the technological field.” López de Fez highlighted the example of Artificial Intelligence “a section that, in the last edition, had 7 projects and, in the current one, 23.”
AI itself, work in ‘cloud’ infrastructures, automation processes, advances in ‘customer experience’, big data, sustainability, public administration or the application in Human Resources were some of the awards, in which they participated , among other representatives of the sector, Marc Martínez, partner responsible for Technology Risk and Cybersecurity at KPMG, David Villaseca, CDO of MOEVE, Jesús García Jiménez, General Director of CIONET Spain and Mario Molina, General Director of SoftwareOne Spain.
