Reader’s Opinion | The operation of Helsinki’s auxiliary equipment center needs reason

I propose that the city grant round-trip subsidized travel to the hard-to-reach assistive center for scheduled appointments.

Earlier the city had several aid stations in connection with different hospitals.

Now, apparently, the efficiency of productivity has driven the aid center to the industrial area, far from the center and to a place that is difficult to reach if you don’t have your own car. In addition, the place has been accessible via a detour for a long time due to street works.

Since it is important to receive guidance on how to use the equipment when handing over the equipment, you must meet the expert who is handing over the equipment. I propose that the city grant round-trip subsidized travel to the hard-to-reach assistive center for scheduled appointments.

Returning aids must be made easy. Helsinki’s social and health service maintains health stations around the city. Since there is internal transport between the points, why not organize an easier return of aids against a receipt to each health station?
