The Public Health Department of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality issued 299 violations and alerted 189 professional health facilities during the inspection campaigns carried out at the beginning of the year, as a result of violating a number of recognized health requirements.
And the team of inspectors affiliated to the Public Health directed to oblige these facilities to implement corrective measures to provide the best types of service and to avoid severe violations and fines resulting from them, in the event of repeating the same violation, and not committing to the required correction.
Shaima Al Tunaiji, Director of the Public Health Department, told Al-Ittihad: The department directed the inspectors at the beginning of the year to implement various campaigns on professional health facilities in the emirate, in order to identify the extent to which they apply all applicable public health requirements, during which a number of facilities were monitored for violations of the requirements. Public Health.
She stated that these field campaigns resulted in monitoring 299 violations and directing 189 warnings to facilities as a result of a variety of reasons, the most important of which is the facilities’ failure to adhere to precautionary preventive measures to confront the Corona pandemic, monitoring of expired health cards for workers in facilities and lack of attention to public hygiene.
She pointed out that the most prominent violations were the use of mixtures in women’s beauty centers and the monitoring of expired cosmetics in men’s barbershops and beauty centers, noting that (76) packages of consumable and cosmetic products not for human consumption were confiscated, and they contain cosmetic materials for the body, incense and perfumes, and their danger is that they are chemicals. It changes with its expiration date, and its health effects cannot be predicted, including skin cancer, skin burns, or health problems for the respiratory system in the case of expired incense or perfumes.
She stated that those field visits were during which two facilities were closed for not adhering to health procedures and violating the circulars and decisions issued in this regard.
