How the research was carried out
The data used was extracted from the latest Continuous National Household Sample Survey (Pnad Contínua) from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and analyzed the average salary of 67 occupations that require a diploma.
FProfessions that employ less than 1000 workers are now disregarded, “to avoid occupations that are statistically irrelevant”, says the researcher.
Positions that do not require a degree, such as directors, managers, directors, were also excluded. “They are well paid because they are management occupations, so in these occupations there are sometimes people who do not have higher education”explains Pires.
Highlights
Among the professions with the highest emerging salaries, the researcher highlights that of university professors, in 10th place in the ranking. “The boom in higher education has valued teachers who reach this level, usually people who have master’s degrees and doctorates,” he says. She points out, however, that theThe data only reflects private universities, as the research only considered professionals from the private sector.
On the side of worst salaries, she highlights that the professions are mostly linked to education, health and care services. Also noteworthy is the presence of newer professions with high demand in the market, such as dweb page and multimedia developers.
In the 1st quarter of 2024, the average income of employed people in the country, considering all levels of education, was R$3,123, according to IBGE.
