Randolfe asks the STF to remove Vicente Santini from the Ministry of Justice - ISTOÉ DINHEIRO

Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (Rede-AP) asked this Wednesday, 8, the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to remove the national secretary of Justice, Vicente Santini, for a possible crime of embarrassing the investigation into a criminal organization.

The request was forwarded to the office of minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the fake news and digital militia inquiries, who ordered the arrest of pocket blogger Allan dos Santos. The influencer is at the center of the crisis that has hit Santini. Ministry of Justice officials reported pressure from the secretary in the blogger’s extradition process.

When calling the STF, Randolfe asked for the National Secretary of Justice to be included in the list of investigated in the fake news inquiry. The senator says there is a conflict of interest in Santini’s conduct and accuses him of using his position to try to shield government supporters from investigations.

“The diversion of purpose in obtaining any information about the extradition process within the Federal Police, even if general, is absolutely clear”, says an excerpt of the request.

“The Secretary of Justice intends, in fact, to play almost the role of Secretary of Injustice, ensuring that the supporters of his personal circle will never answer for any criminal acts that may have been committed”, continues the senator.

Santini was heard by the Federal Police and, asked about the reason for requesting information about the extradition process of Allan dos Santos, said that he was only seeking to “fulfill the court decision”.
