Rally|There has been speculation about Rovanperä’s plans for next season.
Rally double world champion Kalle Rovanperen there have been speculations about the future, but now they can be put to rest.
He says in an interview with Yle that he will drive the entire World Rally Championship next year.
Rovanperä, 23, won the World Rally Championship in 2022 and 2023, but this year he has only driven part of the World Series competitions and tried out – with good success – in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux track car series, among others.
There has been no certainty about his plans for next season, as Rovanperä has said that he enjoyed a more free season. Rovanperä has always answered questions about the next season somewhat enigmatically.
Not anymore when Over asked if Rovanperä will drive the entire World Series next season.
“Still, it has been my plan this whole year that I will run a full series next year, and it’s still the same plan, Rovanperä answered.
Rovanperä assures that there is enough enthusiasm and the love for rallying has not waned.
“I’m sure I’ll at least get a good new feeling for next year, when there’s a year like this in between. And that was the purpose of it. I think that at the end of the year you will notice it even better when you get these things out of the way. It’s certainly more of a feeling then to start pressing into the new year.”
Next, Rovanperä and the map reader Jonne Halttunen see you in action at the World Rally Championship in Chile on the 26th–29th. September
