Ubisoft has confirmed that the Rainbow Six Siege “Reputation System”., which has been in beta for some time, will remain in this state because it is not yet working as desired. In simple terms, it doesn't behave consistently enough that it can be implemented as a full feature, which could lead to players being incorrectly “categorized” due to higher than expected reporting rates.
Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege players are coming automatically reported at a higher than normal rate. This means that players are being reported for verbal and textual infractions that may not have actually happened, which would put some players in the wrong “category” according to the reputation system.
When the reputation system was introduced
The system was introduced in Rainbow Six Siege verse the beginning of 2023. Identifies unwanted, abusive, or negative communications or behavior and punishes a player by labeling them as a lower-than-desired competitor. This is a method of combating the toxicity that has been rampant in Rainbow Six Siege for many years.
Whoever is on the lower end of the spectrum, will be punished with a reduction in XP gainswith a limitation on matchmaking capabilities and a requirement to undertake “learning and reform opportunities.”
Let's remember that Rainbow Six Siege recently achieved a new record of concurrent players on Steam after years, so Ubisoft has every incentive to continue to maintain and improve the game environment.
