Former player says that edges can be left for later and calls voters of Ciro and Simone Tebet to change vote to PT
Former soccer player Raí declared his vote for the former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in the October presidential elections. The São Paulo idol posted a video on his profile on Instagram on Monday (12.Sep.2022) appealing for the useful vote, so that the electoral race is resolved in the 1st round.
“I vote for Lula because I love life, because I respect life. Because I respect all colors. I vote for Lula because I am anti-racist and anti-fascist”, said the former player. “I vote for Lula so we can all win in the 1st round. 1st round so the world has no doubts about who we really are.”

Raí also calls the candidates Ciro Gomes (PDT) and Simone Tebet (MDB) and its voters to support the PT.
“If you’re not on the side of destruction, you only have one side (…) Ciro, Tebet, come with us, without fear of being happy. Come collaborate, come rebuild, on the right side and at the right time. Nobody lets go of anybody’s hand. Then we trim the edges, before they run out of edges to trim.”
This was not the first time that the former player of the Brazilian team exposed his political position. On one of these occasions, in an interview with the French magazine L’Humanite Dimanchein July last year, Raí said that Brazil was facing two plagues: the covid and the president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
