Several news for 2022 for Radical SR3 XX and SR10, the two versions designed for track use only and developed by the British brand. The brand has already opened orders for the updated variants of its two track-only cars, with the first deliveries expected starting in the first quarter of 2022. In the year of its 25th anniversary, Radical will thus add further innovations to the range trying to continue the commercial success of this year in which the British brand has sold 2,800 cars.
On the Radical SR3 XX and SR10 one of the most important innovations is the addition of the Halo, the optional protection for the cockpit that serves to improve the driver’s safety will consist of a black metal structure, thus recalling the element used on the Formula 1 single-seaters. The Halo that will equip the Radicals has been designed to respect the FIA specifications and protect both the driver and the co-driver in the event of an accident without compromising the open-air structure of the car.
Other updates that will be proposed on both models are the new lightweight aluminum struts die-cast which will ensure a longer life. The suspension and camber thickness have also been changed for a simpler geometry setup. The steering column has also been raised to improve visibility and ergonomics. Finally, power steering, a larger driver’s seat and a secondary display on the dashboard are available as options. A new larger brake kit with revised discs and pads fitted as standard will be available on the Radica SR10, an authentic best seller with 80 sales in one year, along with an engine remapping for the 2.3-liter turbo EcoBoost that will now allow to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.4 seconds.
