The Civil Guard arrested this Monday in Caspe, Saragossato an individual who was in an advanced jihadist radicalization process and was dedicated to indoctrinating other people. The man had been under investigation since 2017.
This man has been arrested within the framework of the Hadaba operation, carried out by the Information Service of the Civil Guard under the direction of the Central Court of Instruction number 1 and the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court. The judge has ordered his entry into prison for the alleged commission of terrorist crimes.
The investigation, explained by the Civil Guard, took place after the analysis of the information obtained within the framework of the Almuasasa operation. In it, the Armed Institute, together with the FBI and with the support of Europol and Eurojust, neutralized in June the main global web infrastructure dedicated to the facilitation of terrorist content linked to the Islamic State.
The detainee, according to the Civil Guard, has an unstable profile and this fact, together with its jihadist militancy, increases the level of risk that it may pose to national security. Its activity focused on the dissemination of content related to “martyrs and mujahideen” who act against Israel.
The sources recall that many of the individuals who have carried out violent terrorist actions in Europe In recent years they have a profile similar to that of the detainee in Caspe. In 2019, the European Commission’s Steering Committee on Radicalization Prevention included among its strategic priorities the analysis of the impact of mental problems on people who carry out violent actions sudden
