The Malaparte Awardone of the most anticipated cultural events in the Italian literary scene, has returned to Capri, bringing its innovative spirit and celebration of literature back to the island. The Award, established by Graziella Lonardi Buontempo in 1983 on the initiative of Alberto Moravia, has once again brought together prominent personalities from the world of culture in Capri thanks to the support of Ferrarelle Società Benefit, consistent with its mission to actively support culture, excellence and the history of our country.
The curator of the Award, Gabriella Buontempo, together with the jury composed of Leonardo Colombati, Giordano Bruno Guerri, Giuseppe Merlino, Silvio Perrella, Emanuele Trevi and Marina Valensise, will award the winner of this edition on Sunday 6 October: Rachel Cusk, the English author is best known for her trilogy, which includes the novels Resoconto, Transiti and Onori, published between 2018 and 2020 by Einaudi with translation by Anna Nadotti.
The Malaparte Prize marks an important step in the growth process of the author who began writing in 1993 and today boasts a varied and prolific literary career, with the publication of nine novels, three collections of essays and a theatrical work.
