A constitutional bill has been presented amending articles 85 and 88 of the Constitution
The Democratic Party, signed by the senators Dario Parrini, Luigi Zanda and Gianclaudio Bressa, has filed a constitutional bill which modifies articles 85 and 88 of the Constitution and prohibits the re-election of the President of the Republic. In article 1 of the bill it is requested to add to the first paragraph of article 85 of the Constitution that the President of the Republic “he cannot be re-elected“.
Article 2 of the bill requests, instead, to repeal the second paragraph of Article 88, or the blank semester, when the President of the Republic he cannot dissolve the Chambers or one of them in the last six months of his mandate.
