Probably the best way to celebrate a video game’s birthday is to play it. For example, this is what happened Stefanie Joosten with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painin which he has interpreted Quiet. Ours broadcast a long live stream on Twitch, lasting almost three and a half hours, in which she tried the game live, commenting wistfully on the time spent and how for her it was a fundamental experience.
Backstory
Joosten also shared some behind-the-scenes development and how great it was to help make the game, Hideo Kojima’s last for Konami (if we don’t count PT, which wasn’t a complete game anyway). Let’s watch the video and celebrate with her.
If you remember Quiet was one of the most iconic characters from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, also because of her not exactly covering clothingJoosten lent her likeness and played the character, also providing her voice. Kojima himself wanted her after seeing her confidence at the audition, the only one present who knew video games well and was able to play an undercover assassin convincingly.
The reason why Kojima wanted Quiet half naked is well known.also because he was the one who explained it on X (Twitter at the time). There is an internal motivation to the story, of course, but the truth is that the master wanted to have sexy characters to inspire cosplayers, so Yoji Shinkawa, the character designer, as well as his historic friend and collaborator, obliged. Let’s say that in his own way he had a great intuition, given the very high number of Quiet cosplays that are circulating on the internet and at industry fairs.
For the rest, we remind you that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was released on September 1, 2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The PC version was released on September 15 of the same year.
