Genoa – “Do you want to go to Liguria? Are you sure? Look here, a drama guys … It’s not good, we have to overturn the result. Ligurians: let’s do something”. This time, the chef is beating up the Ligurian motorways Alessandro Borghesewho over the weekend, traveling from Milan to Ventimiglia, got stuck in traffic and posted a video on Instagram.
“I’m not used to controversy – he writes – but two years ago I remember that to reach my wife and my daughters in Liguria it took me six hours. It’s been two years but the situation hasn’t changed here. It cannot take six and a half hours from Milan to Ventimiglia on the motorway, which is paid for by the way. And then all these construction sites, but where are the people working? “.
Autostrade’s letter to Alessandro Borghese
Autostrade replied to Alessandro Borghese’s post with a letter. Here is the full text:
Dear Alessandro Borghese,
we are really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the construction sites on the motorway, on the sections of our competence: an impressive plan to modernize and upgrade the infrastructures is underway on the Ligurian network and, every day, our workers carry out activities to modernize our infrastructures.
You, like many other motorists, report the lack of workers at work: it often happens that the user, walking along one of our sites, has the perception that there are neither men nor work vehicles. The causes can be many: among the most trivial, the technical times to allow the materials used the necessary consolidation. Similarly, for example in the case of tunnel works, the use of switches does not allow the user to see any man at work, as the activities are carried out inside the tunnel where transit is not allowed.
We are trying to meet the needs of users and for this reason we have introduced a reimbursement system, provided for in the event of lengthening of travel times due to construction sites, hoping that this can be at least minimally a relief for the inconvenience. Furthermore, as far as possible, we try to plan the works, agreeing them with the territory and constantly informing travelers.
We would be pleased if you would like to come and visit one of our shipyards and meet the women and men – of whom we are proud – who work with dedication day and night to deliver modern infrastructures back to the country.
Sincerely,
The Autostrade per l’Italia Group
