A plane carrying the body of Queen Elizabeth II landed at a Royal Air Force base in west London on Tuesday.
The coffin was headed to Buckingham Palace, the king’s residence in London, before being taken to Parliament on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Liz Truss and Defense Secretary Ben Wallace were among the group of military and civilian dignitaries who received the casket at Northolt.
The casket was in Edinburgh. The Queen died last Thursday, at her Scottish residence in Balmoral, at the age of 96, after 70 years on the throne of the United Kingdom.
King Charles III, his sister Anne, and his brothers Andrew and Edward, sons of the late Queen, attended their mother’s funeral in Edinburgh, Scotland.
