Queen Elizabeth of England, 95, tested positive for Covid. She reports Buckingham Palace, according to which the sovereign has “mild symptoms” of the disease and will continue to carry out her duties from Windsor.
Queen Elizabeth’s health fears emerged ten days ago when her son, Prince Charles, tested positive for coronavirus. Two days before the test, Charles had been in contact with the monarch. On that occasion, Buckingham Palace made it known that the queen did not present any symptoms. On February 14, however, the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, consort of Prince Charles, had also tested positive for Covid-19. For Prince Charles this is the second time he has contracted the coronavirus.
“Buckingham Palace confirms that the queen tested positive for Covid today – reads a note – Her Majesty reports mild cold symptoms, but will continue her duties in Windsor in the next week”. The sovereign, the statement continues, “will continue to receive medical attention and follow the guidelines of the case”.
