The storm of leaks regarding the game has raged throughout the day and in the past few weeks. In particular, news came today thanks from theAmerican body ESRB that deals with classify the video games arriving in the USA and that has published the first news regarding the classification of the title, which we can finally validate as a real remastered of the historic Quake.
Also very interesting news is the inclusion of the title in the list of Gamepass. On the other hand, it was reasonable to expect that given the billionaire partnership between Bethesda and Microsoft, the game would be usable from the first day in the service, and also usable on theXcloud for players subscribed to all‘Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
As already mentioned, from what emerged during the presentation the game is a real high definition remastered of the Original Quake resulting in immense joy for all longtime fans. The ESRB body had already leaked the confirmed platforms, of the title already available both new and old generation consoles as well as the PC and in particular for: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One X / S, Xbox Series X / S and Nintendo Switch and PC and the active crossplay between platforms.
We can then read a lot of information on the title from the stores:
Experience the original, improved game. Enjoy the original and authentic version of Quake, now with support for resolution up to 1080p * and widescreen, improved models, dynamic and colorful lighting, anti-aliasing, depth of field, original and atmospheric soundtrack, (music) by Trent Reznor and even more . There has never been a better time to play Quake.
The store specifies that 1080p is a technical specification on Nintendo Switch which instead on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC should be able to count on a higher resolution.
Consequently Quake next-gen and his adrenaline-pumping multiplayer which has forever changed the conception of shooter, and in general of competitive multiplayer FPS in arenas, is back with us with a renewed and improved look. Let’s say that without making misleading comparisons, we can say that Halo and many other arena shooter titles owe part of their existence in the multiplayer world also thanks to this title that was a bit the father of this genre. We are therefore delighted with this new announcement that has the explosive force to bring an old glory of the past back to light, finally available for everyone and above all free for GamePass subscribers.
