A woman devoured by a python. This is the discovery of the inhabitants of the Indonesian village of Kalempang, in the province of South Sulawesi. The searches of a 45-year-old woman led to the identification of a python of approximately 6 meters. The snake showed an extremely swollen abdomen. The animal was captured and killed: the villagers opened the reptile’s stomach and, as CBS reports, immediately identified the woman’s head.
The 45-year-old mother of 4 children was apparently killed and swallowed by the animal, which first bit her on the calf and then completely wrapped her up until it strangled her. The dramatic episode, although rare, is not an isolated case in Indonesia. The death of a farmer in south-eastern Sulawesi dates back to last year: in this case too, the protagonist of the story was an 8-metre python.
