Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the existence of threats from the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine, indicating that Moscow is fully aware of these supplies.
“Of course, there are threats,” Putin said on Russia 24 TV. When weapons are supplied to a country with which we are in conflict, this is always a threat.. with regard to what the threats mean to us, and how they can be assessed.
“Of course, we are fully aware of these supply plans,” he added.
On Saturday, Putin threatened to use depleted uranium bombs in Ukraine if Kiev received similar munitions from the West.
“Of course, Russia has the answer,” Putin said in a televised interview. We have, without exaggeration, hundreds of thousands of missiles of this type, which we do not use at the present time.
Putin justified this decision with Britain’s intention to send depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine, according to recent statements by a British official.
On Monday, British Deputy Defense Secretary Annabel Goldie announced that, in addition to providing combat tanks to Ukraine, (Britain) will supply Kiev with ammunition, including armor-piercing ammunition containing depleted uranium.
And the Russian president announced that Russia had concluded an agreement with its neighbor, Belarus, to deploy “tactical” nuclear weapons on its territory.
