Murmansk – The governor of Russia's Murmansk region, Andrei Chibis, was seriously injured in a knife attack on Thursday (April 4). According to a spokeswoman for the governor, Tschibis went to his car himself after the attack with a stab wound in the stomach area. He was then driven to the hospital and informed his wife himself to calm her down. The governor is currently in intensive care, the hospital in Apatity said, the Russian news agency Ria Novosti reported. The suspected assassin was arrested according to the investigative authority also injured and received medical attention.
