Putin orders 'partial' mobilization, says West seeks to destroy Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this September 21, 2022 a “partial mobilization” in a television message to the nationin which he accused the West of seeking the destruction of Russia.

The measure, which comes into force this Wednesday, responds to the need to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countrystressed the president.

The partial mobilization decree contemplates additional measures to fulfill orders to the military industry

He explained that only reservists who have completed compulsory military service will be called up.

“The partial mobilization decree provides for additional measures to fulfill orders to the military industry,” Putin added.

He insisted that the decision to launch a “preventive military operation (in Ukraine) was absolutely necessary and the only possible one”, since the Ukrainian attack on Donbas was inevitable..

The Russian president accused the West of using Ukraine as an instrument to attack Russia.

The objective of the West is “to weaken, divide and finally destroy our country”, said the head of the Kremlin, who stressed that “they (the Westerners) openly say that in 1991 they were able to dismember the Soviet Union and that now it is the turn of Russia”.

Putin denounced that the West even uses ‘nuclear blackmail’

And those who try to blackmail us with the nuclear weapon should know that the compass rose can turn in their direction

“This is not only about the attacks encouraged by the West against the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which can cause an atomic catastrophe, but also about the declarations of senior NATO officials about the possibility of using weapons of mass destruction against Russia,” he explained.

He stressed that citizens of Russia can be sure that the country’s territorial integrity, independence and freedom are guaranteed.

“And those who try to blackmail us with the nuclear weapon should know that the compass rose can turn in their direction,” warned the Russian president.
