He admitted that he loves not only hockey and skiing, which he tries to ride at every opportunity. “I love biathlon, figure skating, where our athletes are traditionally very strong. I am interested in ski jumping,” he listed. At the same time, the Russian leader complained that, due to lack of time, he only watches competitions on TV.
In September 2021, Putin revealed that he left boxing training and went into wrestling after his nose was broken. At a meeting with Olympic athletes in the Kremlin, he remembered that he had been injured in the third or fourth training session. According to him, then he did not go to the doctors, although it was impossible to touch his nose.
The Russian president is the USSR Master of Sports in judo and sambo, and also holds the title of Honored Coach of Russia in sambo and the Order of the International Swimming Federation. According to the information published on the Kremlin website, Putin also enjoys skiing and hockey. The Russian leader prefers outdoor activities – fishing, horseback riding and river rafting.
