Puebla remains open to tourism by adding 152 SafeTravels stamps in establishments, shopping centers, hotels, restaurants, which comply with protocols and guarantee safe stays for users.
The head of Tourism in the state, Marta Ornelas Guerrero He commented that it is being analyzed whether the increase in covid-19 infections could impact the goal of visitors in the state during the summer vacation period, however, he commented that the industry is prepared to receive travelers.
He stressed that the SafeTravels program aims to generate confidence in visitors, since the seal recognizes service providers who comply with the health standards required by the World Travel and Tourism Council, as well as the World Health Organization in the face of what the covid-19 pandemic implies.
“With the rebound we are seeing how this tourism is going to be happening. We still do not know if we have to make or lower all our goals, but we are still going to continue, that is why it is important that all businesses, shopping centers, have this certificate because that means that we are taking care of ourselves and we are giving the message that the tourist can come calmly ”, he commented.
When delivering 52 badges, he stressed that the call for the granting of the Safe Travels Seal remains open to establishments as it is a free process.
He stressed that at the state level it will continue in the promoción of Puebla as a destination, while calling on visitors to exercise responsible tourism and adhere to the measures established to prevent the spread of the virus.
Guadalupe Lozano, Director of Innovation and Quality of the Ministry of Tourism, detailed that, to date 152, service providers and establishments of various lines of business have the seal that certifies safety and hygiene protocols, including the Hermanos Serdán International Airport located in Huejotzingo, as well as shops, hotels, restaurants and Magical Towns.
