Public Works needs 7 million pesos to operate 100 percent in Salvador Alvarado

There is machinery in the Public Works Department but it is broken and a millionaire investment is needed to put it into operation.

Ricardo Cruz Rocha, director of Public Works of Salvador Alvarado, pointed out that there is machinery in the workshops of the City hall to help citizens with the issue of landslides, road scraping, among others.

He mentioned that when they entered the new administration, chaired by Armando Camacho Aguilar, the entire machinery was in a 50 percent to be operated, since there are many units that are not in operation due to the lack of adequate maintenance, as well as the change of fundamental parts for the operation of the machines.

He added that in this new administration, machines such as backhoes, motor graders and bulldozers have been rescued, with the aim of helping the needs of citizens in this rainy season.

The needs

Cruz Rocha also pointed out that the needs they have are many, such as long arms, bulldozers, which are needed at this time for the rainy season, since they tend to clog the channels, drains, and unfortunately cause flooding in the low-lying areas of the city.

He commented that at the moment they are in a 80 percent above what they had in past years, but they are working with the little machinery they have, as well as the one that is coming out of repair.

The cost

Ricardo Cruz Rocha said that the investment needed to acquire new machinery, as well as to repair all that is in the Municipal Workshop and that can be functional and fundamental to support families, would be 7 million of pesos, so that Public Works of Salvador Alvarado work at 100 percent.
