The party filed an action in the Ethics Council after a discussion between the mayor and deputy Glauber Braga
O Psol (Socialism and Freedom Party) filed this Friday (June 3, 2022) a representation in which it requests the opening of an ethical-disciplinary process to revoke the mandate of the President of the Chamber, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), for breach of parliamentary decorum. The action is motivated by the discussion between Lira and the deputy Glauber Braga (Psol-RJ) during the Chamber’s session last Tuesday (May 31). The president of the House turned off Braga’s microphone and threatened to remove him from the plenary after the congressman questioned if he had not “shame” for defending the privatization of Petrobras. According to the document, Arthur Lira “dishonored the office to which he was elected” and “abused the prerogatives assured to commit illegalities and arbitrariness, acting to the detriment of the members of the National Congress”.
The deputy Glauber Braga stated this Friday (June 3rd), in his twitterwhich Lira was “authoritarian”: “There is no other word to define Arthur Lira’s attitude other than authoritarianism. The head of the secret budget does not accept being confronted. Neither he nor any other Bolsonaro henchman will silence us.”

On Wednesday (June 1st), the PL filed a representation in the Parliamentary Ethics and Decorum Council of the Chamber of Deputies and asks for the impeachment of Braga. The action is signed by the president of the acronym, Valdemar Costa Neto. He says that the Psol deputy has been behaving like “disrespectful and aggressive way, offending the honor of other parliamentarians and damaging the image of the House”.
