Paris Saint-Germain cannot have Neymar in the Champions League on Tuesday. Last season’s semi-finalist will face Germany’s RB Leipzig without the Brazilian attacker.
Neymar has not fully recovered from an upper leg injury. “He has been in pain since he returned from international duties and will have to undergo a treatment period of a few days before he can return to normal in the squad,” PSG said.
The Argentinian Leandro Paredes will not participate in the team of coach Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday. The midfielder has a thigh injury. His return is not expected until after the coming international match, mid-November.
RB Leipzig travels to Paris without midfielder Dano Olmo, where it will play against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday. Spanish international Olmo is still recovering from a muscle injury sustained in September, but may make his comeback on Saturday in the competition match with Greuther Fürth.
The 23-year-old Olmo had received an extra holiday from his club after he first participated with the Spanish national team in the European Championship and then also played in the Olympic Games. He has only appeared twice for his team. Leipzig continues with a fit selection to the French capital, where the team hopes for a good result after two defeats in the Champions League.
PSG have 4 points in the Champions League after two matches, Leipzig is still scoreless.
