After that a PlayStation 4 And Xbox One technically revised versions have been provided in the form of PlayStation 4 Pro And Xbox One X in the previous generation of consoles, it was quickly assumed that the same might apply to current consoles as well.
Rumors about a can PlayStation 5 Pro they have been arriving regularly over the past few weeks. A current job posting from Sony Interactive Entertainment, with which the company is looking for new staff, provides new speculation. As can be seen from the aforementioned job posting, applicants will work on, among other things, the graphics API that drives PS5 games or develop GPU software stack optimization tools that “enable the next generation of consoles”.
The full job description reads: “This is a unique, high-level position at the heart of PlayStation’s GPU technology. Among your colleagues at ATG will be the engineers who develop the rendering and ray tracing libraries, the GPU tools, shader compiler and the architects of multiple generations of PlayStation consoles“.
