PlayStation 5 users have received another update. This update, version 22.01-05.50.00 was released yesterday, July 7th.
This update pertains to system software and includes the following (via Sony):
“If you are using a TV that supports ALLM (automatic low latency mode), you can adjust ALLM settings in Settings> Display and video> Video output> ALLM“.
“If you select Automatic, the TV automatically switches to low latency mode when playing games“.
“If you select Off, ALLM will not be enabled except during VRR (variable refresh rate) output“.
Also, as with previous updates, the update will generally improve the performance of the PS5 system.
