The Ministry of Health and Community Protection announced the provision of 87,720 doses during the past 24 hours, bringing the total doses provided as of yesterday to two million 426 thousand and 793 doses, and the rate of vaccine distribution is 24.54 doses per 100 people.
This comes in line with the ministry’s plan to provide the vaccine, and in an effort to reach the acquired immunity resulting from vaccination, which helps reduce the number of cases and control the virus.
The Ministry also announced the conduct of 174 thousand and 172 new examinations during the past 24 hours for different groups of society, in line with its plan to expand and increase the scope of examinations in the country with the aim of early detection and counting cases infected with Coronavirus (Covid-19), and those who had contact with them, and isolate them.
The intensification of investigation procedures and the expansion of the scope of examinations at the state level contributed to the detection of 3,566 new cases of the virus, bringing the total number of registered cases to 274 thousand and 376 cases, and the Ministry also announced the death of seven people from the repercussions of infection, bringing the number of deaths in the country to 783 cases.
The Ministry expressed its regret and condolences to the families of the deceased, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured, calling upon the community members to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to instructions and adhere to social distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
The Ministry also announced the recovery of 4,051 new cases of those infected with the virus, bringing the total number of cures to 247,318 cases.
