vTwo stands were set up at the National Theater in Tel Aviv on Saturday evening. One of them sells black sweaters with the words “Impeachment Now” written on them, as well as stickers with the face of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a bloody handprint. At the next table there are white T-shirts with the words “Bring them home now.”
Thousands of Israelis gathered in the square that evening to protest against the Israeli government. They are calling for the Prime Minister to resign immediately and for new elections to be held. But relatives of the hostages kidnapped to Gaza and their supporters also mingled with the crowd. In their hands they hold posters with the faces of the more than 100 people who are still missing since the Hamas terrorist attack. The demonstrators are campaigning for their return. More than three months after the start of the war, the two movements are moving ever closer together.
