Remedy’s unexpected multiplayer game will only be released on PS5, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games they surprised us all by announcing Project Condor yesterday. It is a new multiplayer game that was born as a spinoff of Control, the latest adventure from Alan Wake’s studio, with which they seek to convert his narrative universe in a franchise proper. And now, we know some more details about the proposal thanks to 505 Games itself.
In a release, the Italian publisher confirms some interesting facts about Project Condor, starting with its financing. As confirmed, the initial budget development is 25 million euros, which will be funded equally by 505 Games and Remedy. In the same way, all future earnings from the game will be split 50/50 between the two companies.
Beyond the purely financial, and after knowing yesterday that Condor will be a multiplayer game, the publisher now specifies that it will be a title 4 player cooperative multiplayer, focused on PvE (player against environment). At the moment no more details about its gameplay and design are revealed, although, as expected, the game will use the Northlight engine by Remedy. And it is also confirmed that Condor will only be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
With more than 2 million copies of Control sold, and revenues in excess of 70 million, Remedy and 505 are preparing to make this adventure their successful franchise. And, as we mentioned yesterday, the two companies are also negotiating the creation of “a bigger budget Control game“, in addition to this Project Condor, of which they will offer details in the future. If you have not yet played the Remedy proposal, which combines shootings and supernatural powers with the recognizable narrative of its study, we leave you with the analysis of Control.
