Culiacán, Sinaloa.- Public schools in Culiacán, located in vulnerable areas, will benefit from the sink construction to privilege the health of children due to the pandemic, with the support of Proeduca Sinaloa IAP and the Embassy of Japan.
The Secretary of Public Education and Culture, Graciela Domínguez Nava, in a meeting with the Consultant of the Embassy of Japan in Mexico, Yoshiaki Mukai and the President of Proeduca Sinaloa, Daniel Blanco Montaño, agreed to sign a collaboration agreement to support schools located in highly marginalized areasin co-responsibility with the beneficiary schools to care for and maintain these works.
Graciela Domínguez Nava stressed that the SEPyC is committed to continuing to benefit from the improvement and rehabilitation of educational institutions, so that for the next school year 2022-2023 they have better conditions in their physical infrastructure, in favor of the educational communities.
The construction of the sinks will be carried out in 14 public schools between December 2022 and January 2023, of which 13 are located in the city of Culiacán and one in the Quilá union. The investment will be made with public funds through the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Japanese Embassy based in Mexico and which were managed for two years by the civil organization Proeduca Sinaloa IAP.
In turn, the Director of Proeduca, Gabriela Espinoza, explained that the organization currently works hand in hand with 90 School Participation Committees and encourages the participation of mothers and fathers, since this is how improvement of school conditions can be achieved.
