Office equipment manufacturer Brother spoke about the problems with his devices when interacting with Windows 11. About this informs Neowin edition.
Problems arise when connecting Brother printers via USB. For unclear reasons, the interaction between the OS and the device is disrupted and the system cannot determine the presence of hardware.
In some cases, brand printers continue to work, but some functions break. For example, the device configuration tool, print distribution, software update tool stops functioning. The problem affects both Brother brand inkjet and laser printers.
As a temporary measure, the company’s specialists recommended using a different type of connection – for example, a wireless interface, if available. Microsoft has not yet responded to the problem.
This isn’t the first time that office hardware users have run into problems with Windows. In July, experts described a way to hack any PC through a printer. In August, it became known that scammers were using office device software to steal money.
