Here’s how Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter dressed at the funeral
For many days we wondered if the children of William and Kate they would or would not attend great-grandmother’s funeral Elizabeth II. In the end it was decided to leave only the third child at home Louis and to bring older brothers.
For both it was the first time they attended a funeral and they showed all their suffering for the moment. Especially the princess Charlotte who is considered the liveliest of the siblings, has assumed a composed, impeccable attitude as the moment required.
Charlotte wore a black dress complete with coat, lace-up shoes and hat. A clothing in some ways very similar to the one worn by mom Kate. For her it was the first time she wore black, colors that the royal family rarely wears besides of course her funeral.
The brother George who is the second heir to the throne in the line of succession in the British kingdom he instead wore a blue suit. This is not new for solemn funerals. Same Harry and William a few hours after the queen’s death they greeted the mourners outside Windsor Castle dressed in blue.
Blue was also worn in 1997 by the king Charles IIIthen prince, at the funeral of Lady Diana. “The gentleman code is actually a dark blue suit and a black tie” – unveiled a famous English fashion coach.
The presence of the two brought the mind back to 1997 when William and Harry, at the time two children attended the funeral of their beloved mother.
Yesterday’s funeral of Queen Elizabeth was followed all over the world and is set to become one of the most followed events ever. Millions of people got out on the street to see the chariot pass with the queen’s coffin on it.
