On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the series, Prince of Persia received special treatment during this evening’s Ubisoft Forward, with various new features linked to different chapters, but in particular to Prince of Persia The Lost Crownof which they were two expansions announced.
The first is a smaller update, available for free from today, entitled Divine Trials and containing a series of additional challenges for the action platform with metroidvania elements which was definitely liked, judging by the reaction seen among critics and the public.
As the video demonstrates, Divine Trials introduces challenges specifically dedicated to combat, with new enemies to defeat and bosses revisited and modified in order to offer more challenging battles than what we have seen previously.
Also a real expansion of the story
The other DLC is called Mask of Darknessand is decidedly more substantial, representing in all respects an expansion of the story.
This too was presented with the trailer shown above, with which Ubisoft announced the news during the Forward.
Mask of Darkness is expected in September, with a release date yet to be specified, and will represent a real narrative addition to the adventures seen in the main part of the game. We therefore look forward to knowing something more about this new addition which promises to be very broad and interesting.
Just last month, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown had already updated to accommodate the free boss rush mode.
