The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will rise by 2.02% this Sunday, reaching 126.52 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) compared to 124.01 euros this Saturday.
This data represents an increase after the downward spiral in which the price of electricity has been immersed since last Wednesday and continues above the 45 euros per MWhthe minimum of the monthly average so that the VAT on electricity is maintained in 10%.
According to the latest data from the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMIE), the 126.52 euros per MWh represent a increase of 1,081.3% compared to Sunday’s 10.71 euros last week and an increase of 25.6% over the 101.2 euros of a month ago, on November 1.
Furthermore, in an interannual comparison, this Sunday there is a 29.1% increase in price since on December 1 of last year the price was 97.97 euros per MWh.
